Availability and announcement of the Radeon 6600 XT is approaching, and the cards are now expected to cost $ 349. The lower-ranked Radeon RX 6600 has a suggested retail price of $ 299.
The reports are based on an anonymous person familiar with AMD’s plans, according to tech website Neowin. The information on the website is about a month old, so it is possible that AMD has changed its recommended rates again.
According to them, the suggested retail price of the Radeon RX 6600 XT is $ 349, as the rasterized GPU outperforms the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, which costs $ 329. The ray tracing performance of the RTX 3060 would be superior. The Radeon RX 6600 XT is expected to be based on the Navi 23 GPU with 32 compute units and 2048 stream processors when fully activated. Clock speeds of up to 2.5 GHz may be possible with this video card. The Radeon RX 6600 XT is said to contain 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 128-bit memory interface and a bandwidth of 256 GB / s. 32MB Infinity Cache was also mentioned.
The AMD Radeon RX 6600 Navi 23 GPU is likely to have 28 compute units and 1792 stream processors. Other parameters, such as clock rates and memory configuration, would be the same as the XT model.
On July 30, AMD would unveil its RX 6600 graphics cards. On August 11, the video cards would be available. Due to global chip shortages, AMD offers its video cards through its own website at suggested retail prices, while prices at merchants can be significantly higher. The word is that at launch only a few thousand cards will be in stock.
