ISLAMABAD: Federal government reconstituted appeal committee on retail sugar pricing, after sugar mills objected to including legal secretary on committee because he was not an employee regular.
Well-informed sources at the Commerce Ministry told this correspondent that representatives of the sugar mills held a meeting with a two-member appeal committee on Thursday that included the Secretary of Commerce and the Acting Secretary of the Commerce Act. on the fixing of the retail price of sugar.

According to sources, during the meeting, representatives of sugar factories raised objections to the presence of Secretary Law on the committee, on the grounds that he is a contract employee and also an additional secretary, implying that he does not cannot become a member of the committee.
After the objection, the committee adjourned the hearing, after Secretary Law said the meeting would be postponed so that he could reassess his position to avoid any legal complications and also consider the petitions referred by the High Court. from Lahore to the committee, the sources maintained.
